Briarfield Avenue, Onchan has now been resurfaced by the Department of Infrastructure (DoI) following the deterioration of the road.
The DoI says more extensive works were done than first planned as the construction under the failed surface was found to be in poor condition.
As well as being resurfaced a number of access chambers across the site had to be reconstructed as these too had showed signs of deterioration.
