Manx runner, Carla Teece broke her personal best in the 100m at the Northern Ireland Championships at the weekend.
At the Mary Peters track, she finished third in her heat in a new personal best time of 12:33 seconds, which took her through to the final.
In the final she went even faster to finish fourth, and first U20, in a brilliant time of 12:29 seconds.
New Record
Both races were wind-legal, and her time in the final is a new IOM U20 record subject to ratification, just inside the time set by Ashleigh Lachenicht in 2017.
Lydia Morris also competed in the meeting, running times of 12:56 in the 100 metres heat and then 12:63 in the final.
Morris then ran a time of 26:34 in the 200 metres heat.
