Ben and Abi Sinclair were both in action last weekend at the Scottish Track and Field Championships at Grangemouth in Scotland.
Ben ran two new personal bests in the 200 metres on Saturday, clocking 22.51 seconds to win his heat and then improving to 22.49 seconds in the final in which he placed sixth in a very close race.
His sister Abi then had a solid run in the 300 metres heats in blustery conditions, finishing fourth but not quite getting into the final.

Abi has enjoyed an excellent season, setting new personal bests in the 100, 200, 300 and 800 metres.
On Sunday, the 400 metres final didn’t go as planned for Ben. Despite qualifying as joint fastest, he didn’t perform as he’d hoped and finished outside the medals. 4
9.72 and 49.66 seconds are still excellent times, and he has another opportunity to achieve that elusive sub-49 time next weekend.
