A number of buildings will be lit up across the island to remember those who have died and support those bereaved.
This Sunday (December 8) at 6pm, buildings across the Isle of Man will light up purple to show support of National Grief Awareness Week.
The campaign is run by The Good Grief Trust and this year’s theme is ‘Shine a Light’ which aims to illuminate the outstanding services available to those suffering from bereavement and grief.

Every year on the final day of the campaign, buildings are lit across the UK to remember those who have died and support those bereaved.
Cruse Bereavement Support Isle of Man and Hospice Isle of Man are working with local authorities, Departments, and the community to shine a light across the Isle of Man as part of the National initiative.
You can show your support by lighting up landmark buildings purple or simply lighting a candle at 6pm on December 8 in memory of a loved one.
Together we can break the stigma surrounding grief and enable a more compassionate and understanding community.
