Douglas Council says its social housing tenants who make an effort to pay their rent won’t be evicted from their homes.
The Department of Infrastructure has announced a five percent increase which will apply from April.
A three-bed house will cost just over £6 more a week.
Devon Watson is the Chair of the Housing Committee; he says the increase means more can be spent on maintaining properties and fixing urgent issues.
