The southern end of the Mountain Road has now closed and will stay shut for the next few weeks.
It has ben closed between the Bungalow and Creg Ny Baa to allow the Department of Infrastructure to resurface and re-profile the stretch of road.
The Department of Infrastructure is undertaking road safety improvement works on the Mountain Road between the 33rd Milestone and Kate’s Cottage.
This closure is 24/7 until the works are completed and it will not reopen for the Easter Holidays.
Later this month the northern section from Ramsey to the Bungalow will close for works but will reopen for the Easter Bank Holiday.
The Snaefell Mountain Railway will operate as normal, and the Summit Café and Victory Café will be accessible via Tholt Y Will.
The Creg can be accessed from Onchan via Hillberry and Laxey via the Creg Back Road.
The work is scheduled to take up to four weeks.
