The DoI is finalising arrangements to lease the former Chester Street vaccination centre, with local agents preparing marketing details for the site.
The premises, previously occupied by Manx Care until August 2024, are currently vacant.
In response to questions in the House of Keys, Dr Michelle Haywood confirmed the site would be advertised “in the very near future.”
When asked about rent payments, she said “Manx care have paid some rent for the premises,” but could not confirm the amount or whether it matched what Shoprite had paid.
Despite it having been used by Manx Care, the health provider hardly left it with a ringing endorsement when it described the building as difficult to heat and lacking in staff facilities.
