Chris Bass Jnr and Wayne Lisy have named their squads for this year’s Island Games in Orkney.
This year’s games are being held on the Scottish island between July 12 and 18.
After taking home the 2024 Cherry Godfrey Cup, the Women’s National Team are eager to prove themselves once more and return home with those sought after gold medals.
Wayne said: “I’m incredibly excited to announce a talented squad for the Island Games, featuring a brilliant mix of youth and experience.
“This group showcases the depth and quality within our game right now — from emerging young talents to seasoned players who bring leadership and composure. Selection was far from easy, and credit must go to the many outstanding players who just missed out.
“Their continued effort push the standard of women’s football on our island higher, and they remain a vital part of our journey and the future.
I’m excited to see what this squad can achieve at this year’s Island Games.”
Mens
Mens’ interim boss Chris added: “I’m really happy with the squad we’ve put together for this year’s Island Games in Orkney. The standard and commitment in training from all the players made it a very difficult task to finalise a squad of 20.
“This shows the strength and depth we’ve had to choose from. Myself, Rick and Woodsy are really looking forward to working with the squad, beginning on Saturday away to Halewood Apollo, and prepare what we believe is a very competitive squad to achieve our aim of a Gold Medal.”
