New Crypto Exchange Opens

A new digital asset platform is hoping to open up crypto to more people, offering a clear, reliable, and safe system.

Echo, a licensed exchange, has launched EchoX, a licensed digital asset platform, alongside its ECHO token sale, marking a major step toward becoming the Isle of Man’s first full-service digital brokerage.

Founded by entrepreneur Sam Dorrer, Echo has secured over $2.5 million in early-stage funding.

Mr Dorrer, previously of Flux Technology, said: “We’re at a point where crypto is starting to move into the mainstream.

“A lot of people are curious but are still a little intimidated. Echo is about changing that: offering tools that are clear, reliable, and designed to help people engage safely.”

EchoX supports trading of major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum within the Isle of Man’s regulated framework and will charge what is says is an “industry low” 0.1% fee.

Framework

The ECHO token, priced at $0.03 each in a public sale of 20 million tokens, offers holders reduced fees, loyalty rewards, and a share of 50% of the exchange’s transaction fees in USDC.

Future plans include Echo Pro, an advanced trading platform, and Echo Elite, a high-net-worth investment solution.

Advisory board member Steve Billinghurst, former PwC director, said: “In a sector too often defined by uncertainty, Echo stands out by embracing regulation.

“Building on the Isle of Man’s rigorous financial framework gives Echo both credibility and resilience.”

The island’s robust licensing regime is also what provides businesses like Echo the chance to prosper.

Speaking to Manx.News, Mr Dorrer said he enjoys being based in a country that both has an international reputation and allows him to sit down with regulators face to face to discuss ways forward and future possibilities.

Phil Games, CEO of Simcocks, added: “The Isle of Man offers an exceptionally robust licensing regime backed by decades of experience in financial services — it’s this combination of regulatory credibility in a mature offshore financial centre that makes it such a powerful jurisdiction for digital asset platforms like Echo.”

The token sale is live at echo.im, with interested investors urged to register early.
