Davey Todd set the fastest time of the week so far in the Superstock class on a blustery Saturday, clocking 133.155mph aboard his Monster Energy by 8TEN Racing Superstock BMW.
Saturday saw yet another weather disrupted qualifying session at this year’s TT.
Michael Dunlop led the session away on his MD Racing BMW Superbike, closely followed by Dean Harrison on the Honda Racing machine. Harrison was immediately on the pace, overhauling Dunlop on the road by Kirk Michael and setting the fastest time to Glen Helen.
By the lap’s end, Harrison’s standing-start speed of 132.484mph put him over 13 seconds clear of Dunlop (130.762mph), with David Johnson (127.976mph) and Josh Brookes (127.650mph) following. Dominic Herbertson impressed with a 128.737mph lap, third fastest overall and quickest among Superstocks.
Todd, starting late, delivered the standout performance. His single flying lap of 133.155mph not only topped the session but became the week’s fastest Supersport effort.
The session was then halted due to descending cloud over the Mountain. Riders on course returned under yellow flags, though Johnson managed a 128.895mph lap before the stoppage. Dunlop improved to second in Superstocks with 130.262mph, while newcomer Mitch Rees continued building pace (124.326mph).
Sidecars later ran a controlled-speed session to Ramsey, with split times showing Crawford/Hardie narrowly leading Founds/Walmsley at Glen Helen. The Crowe brothers, bedding in a new engine, blitzed the Sulby speed trap at 161.317mph before rain curtailed running.
