Scouts in Ramsey and Ballaugh have launched their search for two new volunteers to lead their groups.
Scouts currently offers opportunities for young people from 6 to 18, and the adventures offered are created by a talented group of adult volunteers.
It’s on the search for two new Group Lead Volunteers who will take on the challenge of leading, supporting and facilitating these volunteers to create well-rounded young people, have fun and learn new skills themselves.
New Volunteers
It is on the look out for Group Lead Volunteers that:
- Inspire and motivate people through enthusiastic and positive leadership.
- Applies strategic thinking to a challenge.
- Builds and leads a team of volunteers.
- Bring energy, creativity and a can-do attitude.
- Believe passionately about developing young people and volunteers.
Will Nelson the Island Lead Volunteer said: “Both Ballaugh and Ramsey are small scout groups with a rich history on the Isle of Man and we are looking for the next generation of adult volunteers to lead the groups in their next chapter.
“Volunteering with scouts on the Isle of Man is one of the most rewarding things you can do.
“As an adult volunteer, you’ll gain new skills, meet incredible people and help young people build confidence, resilience and a sense of adventure.”
If you or someone you know is interested in this role and would like to join the adventure, please contact Will Nelson via e-mail will.nelson@scouts.im
