London Manx Celebrate Archibald Knox

London Manx Society held its annual lunch at the end of May which celebrated the life and work of Archibald Knox.

Guest of Honour and Speaker Chris Hobdell, Managing Director of the Archibald Knox Forum gave a talk and presentation on Manx artist and designer Archibald Knox.

Knox was a pioneer of modern design, blending the Arts and Crafts movement, Art Nouveau, and Celtic Revival into a distinctive style.

Throughout 2025 and 2026 the Archibald Knox Forum and Manx National Heritage have organised a series of events and exhibitions on the Isle of Man referred to as The Isle of Knox.

Archibald Knox attended meetings and was a speaker at the London Manx Society during his lifetime.

The prize for the draw at this years event was a travel voucher kindly provided by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.

Thanks also go to The Fynoderee Distillery for their donation of a prize of Fynoderee Manx Gin and Chris who supplied a replica of an Archibald Knox picture frame.
