MHK to Question Future of E-Gaming on Island

Douglas North MHK John Wannenburgh is questioning the long-term viability of the island’s e-gaming sector.

In written question to the Minister for Enterprise Tim Johnston MHK, Mr Wannenburgh asks, “whether a strategic review has been undertaken of the long-term viability of the e-gaming sector in the light of the surrendering of Celton Manx’s licence and other recent developments”.

Last month, Celton Manx, the license holding entity for SBObet and various of its online presences, surrendered its Isle of Man license.

The House of Keys will next set on June 10, with the written answer due for Mr Wannenburgh’s question on June 12.
