In one of the best scenes of this year’s Parish Walk, Lottie Stennett and Madison McMullan finished joint winners of the Ladies Under-21 to Peel.
The pair crossed the finish line together with a time of 6h59m37s.
“It was pretty good from the start, we felt really strong, and the weather was okay,” said Madison.
Despite challenges, including cramping and foggy conditions on the Sloc, they pushed through.
“We struggled quite a bit on the downhill, but once we tried to push through and we always wanted to finish it together,” added Lottie
The duo, who trained together, achieved their goal of improving on last year’s time and plan to go again with the same goal next year.
