The Manx Lottery Trust has awarded £10,840 to the Isle of Man Youth Motor Project to fund a new initiative aimed at boosting mental wellbeing and resilience among vulnerable young people.
The 12-month programme, Developing Authentic Happiness and an Anti-Fragile Disposition, will use Positive Psychology techniques to help participants develop healthier coping strategies and decision-making skills.
Activities will include small-group sessions, talking therapies, and structured personal development.
Peter Hodgson from the Motor Project said: “We are hugely grateful to Manx Lottery Trust for supporting this important initiative.
“With their help, we can deliver a meaningful and structured programme that offers practical tools for young people to build confidence, purpose and emotional strength. It’s about creating a safer, more hopeful future for those who need it most.”
The funding comes from the Trust’s Community Awards Programme, which backs projects that promote inclusion and long-term community wellbeing.
