Southern Nomads Rugby Club have warned pet owners that it’s scheduled off-season maintenance will take place today.
The maintenance on the rugby pitch at Ballakilley will include fertiliser being spread over both playing pitches.
The club has advised the public that people and dogs should remain off the playing surface until the fertiliser pellets have dissolved.
It warns that if ingested, the fertiliser could cause harm or even death.
Fertiliser Warning
Southern Nomads say that the perimeter walkways can still be used.
But a reminder that dogs can only be on the site when on a lead and walked on the marked footpaths around the perimeter of the site.
They should not be exercised on the playing pitches, including the clubhouse square adjacent to the car park.
