Twirling to Success

The Isle of Man Baton Twirling Squad returned victorious from Bournemouth after competing in the United Twirl England Baton Twirling Team Championships.

The squad achieved remarkable success, securing six national champion titles in major team sections.

Formed after auditions in July, the team is comprised of athletes from clubs across the island including Douglas Baton Twirlers, Northern Spirit, and Rushen Twirlers.

Coach Emily Challenor said, “To achieve such success in as little training time they have had of only 3 months is outstanding.”

Success

Sharing in the good vibes, the team congratulated Rushen Twirlers on their success at the National Majorette Championships in Blackpool the same weekend.

The athletes are now preparing for their next UK team competition in London this June.

The squad has also thanked its sponsors: MBS Joinery, Hansard, Castletown Ale Drinker’s Society & Swept Clean Road Sweeping Services.
