A yellow weather warning is in place tonight through to the early hours of Tuesday.
Ronaldsway Met Office says the most at risk locations are those that are damp or wet from runoff and water from recent rainfall and away from low-laying coastal route
Air temperatures will fall slightly after sunset to close to or only slightly above zero, leading to sub-zero surface temperatures and a risk of ice patches.
Whilst most places are likely to remain dry there is a risk of isolated showers early tonight and in general a high chance of runoff/water on some of the island’s roads, as a legacy from this month’s higher than average rainfall much of which has fallen recently.
This leading to areas prone to ice formation.
Isolated showers are also likely to be wintry over higher ground above 1600FT but accumulations are expected be slight or negligible.
Temperatures will then recover slightly later in the night as the arrival of cloud cover and slightly milder air.
