A free drone display will illuminate Douglas Promenade this City Day as part of the Year of the Manx Language celebrations.
Douglas City Council and Culture Vannin will present the show, created by Star Symphony Drone Shows. Organisers promise formations inspired by Manx culture and heritage.
The council encourages visitors to support local businesses. “Make a full evening of it. Treat yourself to dinner, a local takeaway, or grab a warm drink before heading down.”
Optimal viewing is advised along Loch Promenade between the Bee Gees statue and Promenade Methodist Church. Shaws Brow and Chester Street car parks are recommended, as Bottleneck car park closes from 6pm.
The show will be on March 20 at 7:30pm.
A Regulation of Flying order is confirmed, prohibiting drones near the site between 7.20pm and 8pm.
