Vagabonds Ladies put on an attacking display amidst difficult conditions to run out 31–10 winners against Crewe & Nantwich.
As football matches fell to the weather all across the island, the rugby played on, resulting in a very muddy occasion at Ballafletcher.
Despite the tough conditions, Vagas ran in five tries, with two a piece for Freya Crowe and Becky Dunne and one for Bea O’Neill.
The club said: “From the first whistle we controlled the game, applying constant pressure with the ball in hand. Bea was immense and didn’t miss a single tackle, Freya excelled at full back, while Leona was once again a constant threat every time she touched the ball, making big carries and causing problems for the opposition throughout.
“The team dominated proceedings for the majority of the match, only easing off slightly in the final ten minutes. Overall, it was a fantastic team performance and a statement win at home!”
