Golf Course Has 24/7 Defib Access

Ramsey Golf Club has unveiled two defibrillators at either end of its course, ensuring the life saving devices can be reached quickly if needed.

Previously the club has held a defibrillator inside, with the new set up ensuring two 24/7 access.

Announcing the new placements, Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation visited the course as chairman Paul Healey BEM and secretary Luke Murray met with David and Catherine Simpson.

The devices have been funded through money raised through David Simpsons annual birthday golf day.

The charity said: “We are grateful for the ongoing support from the Simpson family and they know first hand how vital these machines can be having to use one successfully at Douglas golf course a few years back.

“Ramsey golf club will now register both machines with the Isle of Man Ambulance Service and be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep.

“We were also joined by Ciaran from the club who arranged things with the help of Tony Kelly from Gough Electrical. Thank you everyone.”
