Evening Works for Junctions

Highway Services has announced a series of evening roadworks across three busy junctions this week.

Temporary traffic lights will be in operation at Glen Darragh in Marown on Tuesday evening for carriageway repairs, replacing the permanent system.

On Wednesday, repairs to a utility lid at Braddan Bridge will see two-way temporary lights in the Douglas bound lane.

Governors Roundabout in Douglas follows on Thursday for edge carriageway repairs.

Each set of works will begin after 6pm and is scheduled for completion within a single evening.

A spokesperson for Highway Services said: “Each location is a busy junction. These works are to be done after 6pm in each case to reduce the likelihood of congestion.”

The department added: “In each case work is somewhat weather dependent and may have to be postponed in the event of inclement weather.”
