Two brass bands are preparing for a major musical test this weekend.
Manx Youth Band and Manx Concert Brass will join 33 other bands from across the North West, Yorkshire, the Midlands and Scotland at the revived Fleetwood Contest.
The event returns after a 13-year break, organised by Red Admiral Contests and Leyland Band.
Manx Youth Band will perform in the 4th section, while Manx Concert Brass competes in the Championship section, where an invite to the 2027 Spring Festival, the qualifying contest for the British Open Brass Band Championship, is on the line.
Band chairman Stephen Maddocks said: “This weekend is a wonderful opportunity and should be an enjoyable experience for all the players involved.
“To be part of such a well-supported contest, especially one returning after so many years, is incredibly exciting and gives our musicians the chance to perform and represent the Isle of Man on a wider stage.”
All performances will be streamed live. Visit www.nxtod.com for details.
