Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision involving two motorcycles on the Tholt-Y-Will road.
The incident occurred around 5pm on Friday, between the Bungalow and Sulby cross roads.
Both riders are off-island residents. Each received medical treatment at the scene, but one man has since been transferred to the UK for further treatment due to the severity of his injuries.
The road remained closed for several hours while collision investigators carried out examinations.
Witness Appeal
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Craig, who is overseeing the investigation, said officers are still working to establish the exact circumstances of what happened.
He urged anyone with information to come forward and make contact with the Roads Policing Unit at Douglas Police Headquarters on (01624) 631212, quoting reference 97/4070/26.
