EPA Applications Move Online

Online applications for Employed Person’s Allowance have gone live as part of the latest phase of the government’s programme to modernise Social Security services.

Claimants must first register for Online Services before creating a Social Security account, after which they can submit EPA applications digitally and upload supporting documents.

Existing claimants will be contacted ahead of their next review with instructions on how to switch to the online system. Those with reviews due imminently are asked to continue using paper forms for now, with online guidance to follow in their award letters.

Once claimants complete their first online application, future reviews will be pre‑populated with existing information, requiring only updates to any changes and new documentation.

Paper forms remain available by calling 685656 (option 1) or emailing EPA@gov.im.

Treasury Minister Chris Thomas MHK said the move marked “an important milestone” in making services more accessible and efficient.

Further online benefit applications, including Child Benefit and Jobseeker’s Allowance, are expected to launch within six to nine months.
