Plan For Police to Continue Police Work

The government has published its Policing Plan for 2026-27, maintaining strategic priorities focused on protecting the vulnerable, reducing harm and tackling criminality.

Basically, the Police will be doing more Police work over the next year…

Minister for Justice and Home Affairs, Jane Poole-Wilson, said: “In the final year of the administration, this Plan is a continuation of the direction over the last three years.

“The strategic priorities remain relevant and support our aim of keeping our island a safe place to live and work.”

The plan highlights continued investment in the Proactive International Money Laundering Investigation Team (PIMLIT) and preparation for the upcoming MONEYVAL evaluation.

The government claims that community policing based on neighbourhood principles remains central, alongside deterring serious and organised crime and securing the island’s entry points.

The Constabulary will continue implementing ANPR technology and working towards Automatic Facial Recognition following what it says was successful rollout of retrospective facial recognition.
