Isle of Man Police are warning that temporary restrictions are in place on the use of drones during the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT.
An Isle of Man Constabulary spokesperson said: “You must follow the published guidance and not fly drones anywhere near the course.
“It is dangerous and illegal, and these restrictions are in place to protect riders, spectators, marshals and the wider public.”
The spokesperson said it was up to drone operators to check the restrictions and not rely on mapping software or commercial apps.
“The Manx Grand Prix/Classic TT airspace restrictions are temporary and will not always appear on commercial apps. You must have an awareness of local legislation, racing times and the guidance published by the event.”
Full details of the restrictions can be found here.
