Douglas Central was the first of the Manx.News live Vote 2026 Election Programmes earlier this week.
A full complement of the eight candidates standing attended the bespoke Vote 2026 studio to debate issues raised by viewers, plus topics that came up during in a short film report by the Manx.News political team.

Subjects raised included the biggest risk the Isle of Man faced, what unpopular decisions would candidates be prepared to make, housing, energy policy, health and the size of government.
Sharon Bridgens (Change), Ann Corlett, George Hargreaves (Transform Isle of Man), Andrea Kruger, Creena Mason (Transform Isle of Man), Peter Shimmin, Chris Thomas and Devon Watson (Manx Labour Party) all were given the opportunity to have their say by programme host Richard Slee.
