Police have confirmed they are now treating this week’s emergency over a suspicious substance as the result of ‘innocent and accidental contamination’.
There was a full emergency turnout at the home of an anti-wind farm campaigner in Garff on Tuesday (October 6) after a substance was found in a parcel that had been left for them at the commissioners’ office.
In response to a follow-up inquiry from Manx.News, a police spokesperson said: “Whilst the initial concern that warranted the multi-agency response was genuine, this enquiry was resolved quickly, resulting in a verdict of innocent and accidental contamination, absent any risk to members of the public.
“As such there are no further enquiries or investigations ongoing.”
