Isle of Man Creamery has reached a very satisfying milestone as its milk carton machine hit the 50,000,000 units mark.
Installed in 2015, the machine was part of its project to eliminate traditional plastic bottles.
The Creamery said: We became the first dairy in the British Isles to introduce bio-based cartons for our milk, made from fully renewable sources – even the plastic elements are made from renewable sugar cane!
“Now we have five different size options of our bio-based milk cartons available and we’ve set up our own recycling scheme which means customers can recycle our milk cartons (and any other cartons they may have) free of charge at Civic Amenity Sites or for a small subscription on our Creamery Club or with Recycle Collect Limited.
“Thank you to all our loyal customers on the Island who continue to support Isle of Man Creamery, we’ll see you for 100 million!”
