Dandara has submitted plans to erect 26 industrial units in Ballasalla.
The proposal is for a new phase of small industrial and storage buildings at Balthane Park, located on land between the estate’s existing access road and the new by-pass.
The 26 units would be arranged into two blocks, providing a total floorspace of approximately 2,113 sq m.
This new phase is planned for a site immediately east of a recently completed block of similar units. The site is currently described as “bare compacted ground” used for temporary construction storage.
A raised landscaped earth bund, already approved as part of the previous phase, will separate the new units from the by-pass road to provide visual and acoustic screening.
The development will include 57 car parking spaces and cycle storage for each unit.
The planning statement concludes the project will “help address the current strong demand for such” industrial and storage space.
