The Northern Civic Amenity Site Joint Committee has closed the re-use shed with immediate effect.
It is to be closed “for the foreseeable future.”
The committee said: “We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause however it has been found that that the re-use shed is not being used for its intended purpose and continues to cause a bottleneck for the site with people staying longer than the recommended time and visiting multiple times a day.
“It is becoming increasingly harder for site staff to monitor the area so the easiest thing to do at the moment is to remove the facility.
“Thank you for your patience whilst we try and navigate the issues we are currently experiencing.”
