Another Day Another Amber

Fresh easterly winds coupled with high spring tides will lead to significant overtopping of waves and debris a few hours either side of high tide (12:45) tomorrow.

The most likely areas affected will be Douglas promenade, Laxey and Ramsey promenades, western part of Shore Road (Rushen), and to a lesser extent Castletown promenade.

Inner Harbour (Yellow Warning):

There is also a risk high tide may cause minor flooding at a few low-lying properties near Riverside Industrial Estate and Gardener’s Lane in Ramsey and the Tongue in Douglas.

Castletown harbour is not expected to have any issues as long as flood defences have been deployed.

This will be in force from 11am to 3pm.
