Island-based sellers on the online marketplace Vinted can once again use its integrated postage system after intervention by Digital Isle of Man.
The Department for Enterprise acted after users reported the platform’s mailing option was unavailable, with local alternatives restricting parcels from Vinted sellers, hindering their trade.
Digital Isle of Man engaged with local couriers and Vinted to identify a solution and said the platform has now reinstated its integrated mailing for Manx users.
Sellers can now post items via selected SPAR shops in Ramsey, Peel, Douglas, and Ballasalla, and other drop-off points managed by Manx Independent Carriers.
Tim Johnston, Minister for Enterprise, said: “This is a positive result for Isle of Man sellers who rely on digital platforms to access wider markets.
“The conversations held by Digital Isle of Man demonstrates how proactive engagement can help remove barriers and deliver practical outcomes for our island and I would like to thank users, Manx Independent Carriers and delivery partners for their input and support in helping to restore this service.”
The resolution forms part of the Global Digital Access initiative, which works to remove barriers Manx businesses face with major digital platforms.
