School leavers, students and graduates can now apply for the summer internship programme with Zurich on the Isle of Man.
This opportunity enables young people to work with the company at Zurich House (its office at Isle of Man Business Park) to gain practical experience and develop the skills they need for future employment.
Applications are now open and close on Wednesday April 10.
Please note, the internships are only open to over-16s.
Zurich Internship
Karen Mercer, Head of HR, at Zurich on the Isle of Man said: “The programme will allow eight successful applicants to get involved with networking events and volunteering in addition to gaining expertise in the specific departments they are assigned to.
“All the internship positions are fully paid, and we know from previous years how much participants gain both in terms of personal and professional development.
“As well as gaining some great experience, it’s also perfect for career progression. Successful completion of our summer internship could lead to applicants being offered a permanent position with us.”
Anyone interested in applying can find out more about the summer internship programme at the Graduate & Young Professional Fair on March 27.
Katherine Blenkinsop, HR Consultant, added: “Our team at the fair will be on hand to answer any questions about what’s involved with the programme itself, and the application process.”
Zurich has won numerous awards during its 40+ years in business here on the Island, and 150+ years globally.
In recent years the company has won an employer of the year award on the Island, and two UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man Awards for its sustainability achievements.
Former intern
Hannah Brearley, Business Change & IT Intern 2023, spoke about her experience on the programme last year, saying:
“I would highly recommend this programme as the support I received from the team was amazing and it was a great opportunity to understand how businesses such as Zurich operate.
“Being able to speak to managers in each of the departments really helped me understand how I wish to further tailor my business management degree. I really enjoyed seeing the Archallagan Community Project come together.
“Being involved in a project from start to finish and watching everyone take part in creating an amazing space for the community really made my experience at Zurich special.”
