UPDATE: The Mountain Road has now fully re-opened.
The DOI are dealing with a large fuel spillage on the Mountain Road this lunchtime.
The road has been closed from the Hairpin to the Bungalow to allow a sweeper to clear the road.
Highways said access to the Victory Café is still accessible from Douglas and Sulby.
A spokesperson said: “The reason for closing the road while this operation takes place is for the safety of our operatives. As soon as the work is complete and the Mountain Road is made safe, we will reopen as quickly as possible.”
