A widow on the Island “desperately” wants to see the law around assisted dying changed in the UK, after the suffering her husband endured with Motor Neurone Disease before he died.
Sue Biggerstaff from Ballabeg was married to Simon for 17 years before his death in May 2022.
He had an ‘extremely aggressive’ form of motor neurone disease and suffered complications”.

Sue has been speaking to Sky’s Ashish Joshi.
MPs are warning the UK government to be “actively involved” in discussions about what to do if parts of the UK or Crown Dependencies legalise assisted dying.
