Manx athletes delivered a series of impressive performances at the England Athletics Senior & U20 Track & Field Championships in Bedford over the weekend.
Regan Corrin (Manx Harriers) secured a bronze medal in the U20 men’s long jump, producing a superb final‑round leap of 7.57m to move into third place.
In the women’s 100m, Carla Teece (Northern AC) recorded a wind‑legal season’s best of 12.38s, finishing sixth in her heat in one of the most competitive events of the championships.
Sam Perry (Northern AC) qualified for the senior men’s 800m final after placing third in his heat in 1:52.71. He later finished eighth in the final with a time of 1:59.43.
Aimee Christian (Manx Harriers) placed sixth in the senior women’s 400m hurdles heats, clocking 1:07.20 in extremely windy conditions that affected times across the field.
All four athletes once again represented the island strongly on the national stage.
