Shaun Kelly’s extra time strike saw Ayre Utd retain the Railway Cup as they beat Peel 3-2 at the Bowl.
It was the second successive year the top two have played each other, with last year also seeing the tangerines winning 3-2.
Ayre took the lead in the 18th minute when Cameron Torr raced onto a Kelly pass, slotting past Ryan Tate.
Trailing 1-0 at the break, Peel struck back when Rhys Oates went through and picked his spot to beat Nay Teare and level it up 1-1.
With few real chances, Ayre piled forward late on and were rewarded with a penalty when Scott Horne handled to stop the ball going in.
He was given his marching orders by ref Stuart Morris, with Kelly scoring from the spot (2-1) just minutes remaining.
Despite that, Peel would get back level with a penalty of their own in added time as Tommy Brown scored to make it 2-2 and send the game into extra time.
Ayre were gifted the winner when `Tate rushed out to clear a ball, giving it straight to Kelly who kept his nerve to fire into the empty net from distance, 3-2.
Peel huffed and puffed but couldn’t find an equaliser as Ayre hung on to give Nick Hurt’s side back to back Railway Cups.
