The number of vacancies dropped sharply in May, down 133 from April, with 474 positions available at the Job Centre.
Despite this, Statistics Isle of Man reported a drop in the number of people out of work, down 23 to 296.
The registered unemployment rate remained steady at 0.7%, unchanged from April 2025. However, the figures show 33 more people unemployed compared to May last year. Males accounted for 193 of the total, while females made up 103 jobseekers.
The Medical and Health Services sector had the highest number of vacancies (80), followed by Retail Distribution (79) and Catering and Entertainment (74).
Meanwhile, the International Labour Organisation estimated 741 people were actively seeking work – a 1.7% unemployment rate.
Long-term unemployment affected 25 individuals, with those aged 55+ representing the largest proportion (32%).
