Patricia Hillas will be consecrated as the island’s new bishop on next month.
Her consecration as Bishop of Sodor and Man will be held at York Cathedral at 11am on October 10.
There will then be an enthronement service at Cathedral Isle of Man in Peel at 2pm on Saturday November 16.
Upon her appointment, Bish Trish will also get a seat in Tynwald due to the Church of England’ retaining its’s historic right to involve itself in Manx politics.
A bid to remove the bishop’s vote, but retain the right to speak, was passed by the Keys and is waiting to be progressed through Legislative Council.
Tickets will be required for those attending the event at the Cathedral and these will be made available in due course.
