Bishopscourt to Close For Three Days

Bishopscourt will be closed to all traffic during the day for three days next week.

The road is being closed to allow a large elm tree to be felled as it has dutch elm disease.

As the tree is dead and it is considered to be at risk of falling into the highway if it is not dealt with.

Road Closure

The road will be closed to all road used from 9:30am to 3:30pm for up to three days from Monday (October 27) up to and including Wednesday (October 29).

This closure will be in place from the entrance of Bishopscourt Glen to the northern entrance of Orrisdale Road.

While the closures are in place there will be no access to Orrisdale from its junction with Bollyn Road for southbound traffic.

In the event of poor weather, the work may be postponed until Thursday (October 30) for up to three days.

No alternative routes or diversions have been issued by the DoI and no alternative routes that are suitable for HGV’s.
