A bomb disposal team from the UK is due in the Isle of Man today after unexploded World War Two ordnance was found in the Spanish Head area.
The discovery was made yesterday.
A coastguard spokesperson said: “All footpaths between The Sound Cafe and The Chasms are taped off with red and white tape and are closed until the ordnance is dealt with.
“Coastguard personnel are remaining nearby to ensure the safety of the public. Please do not enter onto the closed section of the footpaths.”
