Cai Lewis of Northern AC continued his excellent early season form at the British Milers’ Club meeting at Millfield School in Somerset.
Last Saturday, Cai produced a superb new 1500m personal best of 3:53.68.
The Millfield student broke the four‑minute barrier for the first time indoors earlier this year, and his latest run takes more than four seconds off that mark.
His time puts him just over four seconds outside the Isle of Man U20 men’s record set by David Mullarkey in 2019.
There was also a welcome return to racing for his younger sister Hope Lewis, who is coming back from injury.
She produced a solid 2:23.38 over 800m at the same meeting.
