Douglas Council has asked people using the Eastern Civic Amenity site to only use the proper skips.
It has shared pictures of the cardboard recycling bin which has several items in it which clearly aren’t cardboard.
The items include a works jacket, scratch cards and bits of wood.
The Council said: “This has a massive impact on the smooth running of the service we provide and to the material that has been recycled. Future acts like this could affect the service.
“We please ask you to make sure that all materials are decanted into the correct skips that are provided, if you are unsure of where to dispose of something then please find a member of staff who will be happy to assist you.”
