Looking through the results of last Saturday’s Northern AC Track and Field Championships at the NSC, one really stood out and that was Carla Teece’s time of 12.1 seconds for the 100 metres.
That is more than half a second inside her personal best of 12.67 set last year.
This was Carla’s outdoor season opener, and what a run it was.

The result will not officially count as there was a shortage of officials and it was also a mixed race, but if Carla can replicate this form in the season ahead it will be an exciting summer.
The official Isle of Man record in the Junior Women’s category is 12.3 seconds by Ashleigh Lachenicht.
The overall women’s record is 11.6 set by Danaa Callow in 1994.
