An appeal for information has been issued after a group of around 15 men from Northern Ireland allegedly caused significant damage in a field near the K Tree.
The individuals reportedly jumped the fence, dragged cattle troughs across the field, and used them to light a BBQ, cooking rump steaks.
A Facebook post described the scene as “careless, selfish, and downright stupid.”
The operators of the field confirmed the galvanised troughs were ruined, leaving cattle unable to eat or drink. Signs warning of foot-and-mouth risks were also ignored.
One of the group allegedly told onlookers, “At least I’m not doing a BBQ on the floor.”
Organisers warned that such behaviour could jeopardise future access to the popular viewing spot. Police confirmed the acts constitute criminal damage and trespass.
A post said: “The farmer will not press charges if the group pays for the damage. If identified and no offer is made, police will intervene.”
Anyone with photos or information is urged to come forward.
