Coffee For Carers

Central Laa Meanagh Day Centre for Older People, is bringing ‘Coffee for Carers’ back for the fourth time.

This session will take place on June 17 from 1:30pm and acts as an opportunity for carers and appropriate services to network.

Crossroads Isle of Man, Alzheimer’s Society, Admiral Nurses, Eastern Wellbeing Partnership and Older Persons Mental Health Services will all be in attendance, so that carers are able find out what support is available for them.

Carers Coffee

Those who attend are invited to bring those that they care for along with them, as there will be colleagues on-hand to provide some respite.

Day Centres for Older People offer carers respite by providing a safe and stimulating space for individuals.

By doing this, carers get a well-needed break and service users are supported to stay in their own homes for longer.

Day Centre

The Day Centre also offers support by providing clear pathways to other services that carers and service users may need.

You can find out more about the Day Centres for Older People here.

Refreshments will be provided, but the centre is asking those who wish to attend to RSVP to the day centre’s email inbox CentralLaaMeanagh.ManxCare@gov.im by June 15.
