To celebrate Okell’s Brewery’s 175^th anniversary, this Friday beer lovers can enjoy a pint of Okell’s for £1.75.

Okell’s roots back to 1850 when Dr William Okell took over as brewing manager of the Castle Hill Brewery in Douglas.

Dr Okell’s tactical business moves and his dedication to adopting the best brewing techniques ensured his brewery survived the ups and downs of the Manx economy.

175 Years of Okell’s

The offer on Friday (March 14) extends to a pint of Okell’s Bitter, IPA, MPA, or new limited edition Smoked Porter.

Commenting on pint offer, Okell’s Managing Director Ollie Neale said, “Okell’s has been known for its outstanding Bitters and Pale Ales, still brewed to the Manx Brewers’ Act, for 175 years. 

“As the founder of Okell’s Brewery, Dr Okell was clear from the start that his beers should be high quality products.

“Generations of master brewers have followed in his footsteps to ensure Manx drinkers – and those further afield – should enjoy Okell’s beers that use both the best ingredients and brewing techniques.

The launch of the £1.75 a pint promotion is just one of a number of events planned for Okell’s 175^th anniversary celebrations.
