Audiences are being prepared to be swept off their feet as Chicago bursts onto the stage of the Gaiety next month.
With the support of its long-term principal sponsors, DQ Advocates, Douglas Choral Union (DCU) will perform the multi-award-winning musical.
The production will run from February 7-15 and the team behind the production is promising a whirlwind of scandal, sass, and show-stopping numbers.
Set against the glittering backdrop of 1920s Chicago, the story follows Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer turned murderess.
After fatally shooting her lover, Roxie teams up with the city’s most cunning lawyer to twist her crime into a media sensation.
But with rival cellmate Velma Kelly vying for the limelight, the stakes — and the headlines — have never been higher.
Chicago marks the 16th consecutive year the Douglas-based practice has been the principal sponsor of the Isle of Man’s longest-established theatre group.
